I guess that for the time being my knee problems have been worked out. My ankles are still complaining a bit, but it's not too bad. I still need to drop another 20 pounds or so, but I'm getting there. Anyway, I just broke that 3 mile barrier that's been haunting me lately.

I just ran for a solid hour and did a little over 5 and a half miles. I know that's not fast, but I did it steady. No slowing down or walking. My heart rate at the 4.5 mile point was 149 which is barely over my target.

It's only June. If I can build up and double what I just did I'll be in the half marathon ballpark, give or take a mile or two.

    I've got lots of time…… :)

Go go, go Johnny go go
Go Johnny go go, go Johnny go go
Go Johnny go go, Johnny run good!

    Almost lyrical!

I don't think I ever told you folks that my wife signed up to do the same half marathon, did I? She didn't sign up to raise funds, but she's going to do it. She's on the treadmill now. I just checked on her and she's at 3.19 miles and still going. I think she's trying to keep up with me. Well, distance-wise anyway. :)

I think it will be pretty cool once we've both crossed the finish line.
