So I saw this little shack today across the street from me, apparently they sell produce that the nearby Mennonite Amish Farm and sell. I ended up picking up a few things including pickled okra, man they are delicious. Ive also had pickled quail eggs before too, those were also delicious.

Thinking about reusing the vinegar sauce to throw my own okra in and just tighten the lid back, will that work? If so how long do I need to leave it for?

    Whats your favorite pickled item?

    Regular old pickles... Especially fried.

My wife loves pickled hard boiled eggs.

I really liked pickled veggies especially if there are some peppers in there to give them some heat. I have never had the urge to try any pickled eggs, gizzards, pigs feet or any thing like that.

I like pickled eggs. I just use a white vinegar and a can of beets from the can. Throw the beets with the juice and the vinegar in a glass jar and add hard boiled eggs and let set in fridge for a week, then ready to eat. When you get low just boil some more eggs and add to the pickle.

I'm a fan of almost anything pickled. Maybe sausage or gizzards as favorite. Haven't tried some of the more exotic meats yet. I like weird foods so could be more favorites out there still. Veggies are always good too

I went to a Russian restaurant once, varieties of pickles I've never seen/tried previously: grapes, apples, I can't even recall the other offerings... cukes, beets, peppers and giardinara are enough for me.

Is anything bad that's pickled? Maybe 1000 year old eggs..have you seen those Gahk!

Personally, I'd probably have to check Dilly Beans with garlic and a pepper as my personal favorite! Pack some nice tender green beans that are the length of the jar, nice and tight in the jar with garlic and a hot pepper and it's just flippin fantastic!

Pickled herring is at the top for me... Followed by hot peppers.
