So we are getting a Bass Pro Shops in the next town over (20 min away) and a Cabela's in town, both next year. Considering right now the closes Bass Pro is 1.5 hrs away and the Closest Cabela's is about 3 hours, this is excellent! But my wife and checking account don't agree.
My Bass Pro is 20 mins away, but they are moving into a new, bigger location next year...10 mins closer!!! Cabela's is 1.5 hours away and Field & Stream is about 45 mins.
My son just moved from North Dakota to San Antonio for work . When he got there he looked and 1 apartment and then head for bass pro ....... I fear his marriage might be in jeopardy also
lol i am already trying to figure out how to get my wife to go work at Cabela's next year. I told her i would bring her lunch every day. she turned that down. back to the drawing board now.
Closest Cabelas is 1.5 hours and closest bass pro is 3-4 hours away from me but a new Cabelas and Bass Pro is set to open up 45 min away!
I have to drive by a Cabelas every day on my way to work... A lot of days I will just go in there just to look at stuff!
Well all we have right now is Gander Mountain and they are the most overpriced out of everyone. So before they came in, you either did everything online or you went to walmart. I order most of my stuff from Cabelas now. So it will be nice to save on shipping. Camo i buy in person just because i try it on before i buy it. And it will be cool to walk around in there. I know they do a really good job of staging their stores.
I wish they would hurry up and get the Memphis Pyramid converted to thier newest Bass Pro Shop. You guys knew about that, right? If they would hurry up and do it before I retire it would be great. I work two blocks from the Pyramid. I'd be able to hit Bass Pro shop on a lunch break. :D
Oh man no i didn't know about that. that is sweet! I grew up northwest of Jonesboro so we took a lot of field trips to Memphis, one of which was the pyramid. Always thought that was the coolest building.
Northwest of Jonesboro? Where at? As to the Pyramid, it sounds like it has a lot of potential: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/s...eId=10151&catalogId=10051&appID=94&storeID=61
My husband asked me if he could get a Cabelas reward credit card. Said he didn't have to buy stuff at Cabelas, but it'd fund his shopping trips. So much per dollar spent. I don't think so, even if the nearest is 3 hours away!
I've got a BPS less than 10 minutes from my house. I am there almost every weekend it seems. Mostly so my son can look at the fish tank.
little town called Imboden on the other side of Walnut Ridge. I think a Bass Pro in the pyramid will rock. They can do a lot with that building and make it really awesome. Ive been in a few BP including the one in Springfield MO and they do a really cool job on the inside. I heard Cabelas does an awesome job too so ill just be excited to go walk around and look at all of the different things that i dont have to order online anymore.
I know exactly where Imboden is. I used to drive through it all the time when I hunted between Ravended and Ravenden Springs. One of my aunts was born and raised there. I can't wait to see what they do with the BPS in the pyramid. That's going to be awesome.
It has never made much difference for me where stores are located as I order almost all my stuff online anyhow.
