So true. So...so true. And the average person has no idea just how screwed we are when it comes to our ISPs and really doesn't care. This was evident with the lack of coverage about the Net Neutrality ruling.
Even if Google wanted to become a nationwide ISP, it would take a decade for them to install the infrastructure for all populated areas. And then what happens when Google now owns 90% of the fiber? Now they are the new ISP monopoly.
