Not talking about in a survival situation either. What if human meat became the new trendy haute cuisine in the future, kinda like how offal was/is trendy recently? Would you eat it? Would you order Mesquite smoked human loin with seared duck foie gras, fresh thyme, and a bourbon truffle demi glace?
This might just be the weirdest question I've seen posed on the forums. What in the world made that thought pop into your mind, Hooker? Oh, and the answer for me is an absolute no. There are a lot of things that I absolutely WILL NOT eat. Not necessarily because they taste bad but because the very idea of eating them disgusts me. I believe this one would rank at the top.
I have no idea. I woke up this morning pondering this question. I apparently dreamed pretty weird last night.
Let's ponder how this would be legal for a minute... Say restaurants make a deal with hospitals/morgues as providers, and the providers would save the disease free and healthy parts for the restaurants. Everything would need to be fresh. Nothing frozen here. Obviously the person would have to sign a statement granting their body for this use before their death, kinda like an organ donor card.
Free range? :D Joking aside and putting this utterly creepy topic aside as well, if there is any correlation to the quality of the food you eat and the food THAT food was fed, I wouldn't imagine many humans taste very good considering how poor of health most American's are in.
So let's talk about why this would be frowned upon. It's just meat, right? Why is certain meat accepted by our society and others are not. We don't eat horse, dog, cat, etc here, but these are common among other societies. Why can we disassociate feelings towards some animals, but not others?
