Who all is a glock fan. I just ordered some trijicon HD night sights for my gen 4 glock 19 and curious to see if any one else has any other mods done like stippling. Looking to get it done but unsure if I will really like it or not. Anyone have any pro/cons to getting this done? Really just looking for a little more aggressive grip without adding a grip to it.
Glock 30sf here....i put on the meprolight night sights and I have a streamlight tlr-3 for it as well....the light goes on when it's in my bed stand safe while I sleep....i hate the stippling looks and feel wise....make sure you like it before you do it cause there is absolutely no turning back once you start.....houge makes some slip on grips for them and there is also formed grip tape kits for them that come in different levels of aggressiveness
I use the Hogue slip on grip; I like the finger grooves and my hands sweat a lot so the rubber grip is a must have. You should get an extended slide release and an extended mag release button. You will wonder how you ever shot w/o them.
I picked up a G23 today and love it so far, put about 400 down the pipe already shoots like a dream shot 4 different types of ammo no FTF or FTEs. I picked up a pair of the Trijicon night sights on botach for like $85. As far as stippling goes I have also been thinking about this.
Gen 3 Glock 17 with Trijicon sights. Had an extended mag release on it but lost a mag once when walking through the brush. I suspect it got bumped somehow and popped the mag out in the tall ticky weeds. Had to retrace my path with a metal detector to find it a few days later. I put the standard release back in it after that.
I have a Lipsey's limited edition 19 Gen4 in FDE. I carry it almost daily and have put around 2k rounds through it without a single malfunction. I'm of the opinion that these guns are almost perfect out of the box so mine is nearly stock. I do have a set of Trijicon HD's installed on mine and an engraved slide plate. The sights do indeed improve target acquisition speeds noticeably even during daylight. Other then that it's bone stock, goes bang every time I pull the trigger, and it carries IWB and shoots very well.
wow, that's Murphy I guess. They make 2 (at least) different extended mag release buttons. I went with the medium-length one just so it didn't dig into my skin IWB. It is not much longer than stock, but makes all the difference in the world, especially with gloves on.
Glock 30 here. I added the night sights and a clip extender with the extra finger space. That is all I have done.
Glock 22 with line wolf barrel, tungsten guide rod, 3lb trigger, fiber optic front sight, extended mag release. Love it. Shot competitions with it for years. Also glock 24 with pretty much all the same with beaver tail adjustable rear sight and mag well with brass plug. Shoots like a dream. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So it seems we all pretty much agree stock sights do suck on the glock. Anyone have any pics of stipple work done on their glock?
Check out m4carbine.net they have pretty sweet stippling thread look out for dakotaglockguy or something like that he does great work ex.
I love my G20. Thinking of replacing the barrel since I'm slinging 230 grn hard cast bullets w hot loads from Double Tap but I don't shoot it very often at all and am wondering if it's a true necessity.
After market glock barrels are going to be more accurate. I was skeptical at first when I changed but now all mine are lone wolf barrels. KKM also makes great barrels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
