I tried it. It might work for a single guy with a lot of time on there hands. Being married and such it was hard to be able to set that time aside every day. But I think it was a good workout. I still use that ab workout Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Never did p90x all the way through. Went through insanity twice and now I do my own stuff. If p90x doesn't give results you want try insanity. The name says it all and it's all body weight. I dropped from 245 to 195 pounds and toned up a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Many years back I did p90x with the wife it was really fun. I dropped a ton of weight and toned up fast. It works if you stick with it and change your eating habits slightly. Hutch
I'm doing the old one p90x classic. I dont' know about day 4, there are body parts I literally can not move this morning lol. And I'm sticking with it to the end. Was just wondering about results. I really don't want to lose weight, I'm just looking for more tone and better shape.
Yup, it's great other than the length of some of the workouts. I did insanity also, but preferred the the workouts in the 1st half of the program. T25 is tempting though. I'd rather have 25 min of serious buttkicking than the longer workouts.
Any advice if you can NOT see yourself doing a single push up the next day lol? Do what you can do anyway? My boobs are killing me. Good stuff though I love it so far.
use bands or light weights in a bench press motion. Not only will it keep you in the groove mentally, it will also help you work the lactic acid out of your muscles and recover faster. One thing you will see is that working out is just like developing any other habit...takes about 3 weeks to really "take" mentally. I never could finish the 90x classic with the hour-long workouts. But I just started the 90x3 (30 minute) last week and I have high hopes. I can set aside 30 minutes per day. Just get out of bed 45 minutes earlier.
My son does the P90X3, of course he's only 33 years old and about 6' and about 155#. He started doing this to gain weight, I think he is gaining muscle weight, He started out at about 140#. After watching him do this, it is definitely not for me, of course, I'm 61 years old, that program would kill me !
I started the end of winter last year and made it 5 weeks, until the 60 degree days came. Then I found less painful things to do. I have my own bucket truck through work and the third day into I couldnt even put the rain cover back on it.
I did P90X for for 1 1/2 years. I got some results, but not the results I was looking for. P90X is for people that want to lose weight. If u want to build muscle, I recommend trying some workouts that are on the Internet. Just take a day to research and experiment some workouts. I like Cameron Hanes workouts a lot. I like the idea of him training with different trainers to get insight on what they have to offer. Also keep in mind u should work your legs just as much as u workout your arms, core, chest, and shoulders.
Insanity guy here...love it...will be starting that up again very soon as I hope to get through 2 maybe 3 phases before my elk hunt....these programs are made to get you in shape and tone....if you are looking for bulk muscle these aren't the best choices but they will def get you in shape if you eat right and give it your all...no question Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
