The wife and I will be pulling the trigger on 750 sq/ft of hardwood flooring to cover our great room, kitchen, and hallway. This is what we are going with ...Rustic Hickory from the Amish... We absolutely HATE rugs as they never are really lean...... Do you have hardwood floors and if so, let's see them
Thanks, Dan The Amish sell this stuff so heap (friend onnetion) $3.95 sq/ft unfinished. My connection has a contractor that will put it in and finish it for less than $2K . The whole project...less than $5,000
Can't beat that at all! I'm in the process of remodeling our nursery. The wife keeps reminding me of how many days till baby #2 arrives. Lol. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
Man, I miss those days...tho being a grandpa has it's advantages Normally I would lay the floor myself, but since it is unfinished and he will warranty it....no brainer
Ya that would be alot of work and your getting a good price. Ya these days are stressful lol. I can't keep up with my 19 month old as it is. I don't know what I'm going to do! Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
We did hickory in our basement with log siding walls. I love the look of hickory. Some like clear wood but I love the character of it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just finished installing brazilian cherry in our house. Turned out great. Here's the only decent pic I have on my phone. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Thank you sir! It's actually an engineered floor since we're on a slab. Had to use 18 50# bags of self leveling to get the concrete slab perfectly flat to lay this. It was quite a job. We were glad to get rid of the nasty carpet. No more static either. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I have the same exact project going on this weekend. We picked a floor like this. Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk
It's a laminate from Lowe's it's called "Natural Acacia Laminate" Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk
Here's some from a couple of our cabins. Floors are close to 100 years old This floor was refinished a few years ago.
Crappy photo, but our kitchen, living room, foyer, gym, and upstairs hallway, are all 2 1/4" oak. We will most likely do a wide plank maple or even a walnut/hickory mix in our next home. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4.
All beautiful, guys...keep them coming... I failed to mention that the floor boards come in varying width from 4"-6"
this is about as good of a pic I can find it's all dark stained pine that is almost 100 years old throughout the house
