So first idk how to make turn pics to be normal ha. Anyway with that being my view today for almost 8 hours and its pretty boring throwing dirt all day in a track hoe. Got me thinking what's the most boring part of your job? This ranks right up there for me. Checking grade is probably first but sitting in a machine all day moving dirt around is just about a close second. So what ya got?
The most boring job I've done was sitting in a boat for 12 hours during the hot summer going over the SAME stretch of water day after day for months. But the money was good.
Walking hay fields dropping mouse poison in holes for days on end in the rain. Then starting over and spraying thistle. Walking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What a timely thread. Just today I was thinking about the this. When work gets boring I just think about my bow and them bucks. It is a cure all.
I love my job! lol I work with friends, and get to play on the computer the whole time (sort of). Only time I get bored is when I am down in the basement by myself, but the radio helps to cure that.
I guess the most boring part of my job is waiting around for guests to check in at the end of the day. But really, it's not a boring job.
I'm a truck driver/delivery driver and the worst/most boring time is waiting at a loading dock for people on breaks, or waiting my turn in line to back into a loading dock. The idle time drives me mental. Not as bad since I got an iPhone though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There will be times where I can sit at my desk without any work for 3+ hours... I browse the same websites every single day.
Being tied to a phone "waiting" for a customer call. I may get a boat load of calls or none at all. It's typically one way or the other and nowhere in-between.
The menial drudge of doing monthly security audits just to stay in compliance with the "All Auditors Employment Act" known as SOX
My previous job I would sit at an intersection from 7-9 am and 4-6 pm counting how cars moved through the intersection using a turning movement board... I will say that, being in a college town, some intersections were better than others when the weather was nice.
The most boring job I have done is supervised a 9 acre excavation. And by supervised, I mean not really supervised, but more just made sure the contractors did what they said they did. I couldn't tell them what to do or anything. I just sat in my truck for 4 months and watched them dig dirt. At the end of the day, I called the client and said "yes, they dug dirt today." That was it.
