Anyone doing anything fun with your tax return? I am buying pretty much everything I need to get filming my hunts first and foremost. Im also throwing a bit in saving. And pretty sure Im going to finally buy the turkey gun I been wanting for years now
I'm doing something way wrong I guess....I never get a refund. The check is always going the other direction....
I don't ussually get much if anything back since I take more $ on my paychecks rather than let the gov hold on to it all year.
I have not received anything yet but all filed and done. I had a feeling this thread would emerge here soon. I expect if something rolls my way I will find something to do with it...I do need a new set of arrows.
I love that you posted this question. Good luck on the filming this year. I'm using my return to book an elk hunt in Colorado. Went the past two years. Last year was pretty much a wash out. I was there during the 100 year storm. Country is absolutely beautiful and nothing like waking up at 4 AM to the sounds of bugling elk.
Yea. Buying all the supplies to put in a mud set bathroom for my wife. Granite counter and new sink and new cabinets. Then the rest heads to savings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Paying off my taxidermy bills, making a truck payment, and if I'm lucky there will be something left for me to put away
If I get a refund, I did something wrong. The government does not pay you interest to hold your money. I'm not a fan of loaning them my money for free.
I'm going to get a new bowstring, and considering getting the gear I need to start duck hunting next year. Other than that I'm just getting ahead on bills.
^^Spot on ....they get minimal quarterly payments from me....and what I owe gets paid at the last possible minute. Pay yourself first and foremost ....it's your money.
I usually don't get too big of a refund. I usually owe a little bit on the state site of things and get a small federal refund. I honestly don't know what to expect this year though because it's the first year I'm claiming myself and I didn't change my withholding to reflect that. I also get to claim interest paid on student loans throughout the year. Whatever I get will be applied mostly to student loans although I'll probably set some aside for a flight back to IL and some spending money for my cousins bachelor party in May.
Right after I saw I was getting it all back again this year, I changed my status so they don't get it anymore. But for this one, the wife is getting her bridge replaced! Yeah baby, I know how to go wild.
First year in many I'll get something back. Going to a single income, having a kid, and killing my Q4 plan put me in a spot where I had payed too much in. I'm pretty boring, putting the $$$ towards my wife's school loan and finally paying that damn thing off.
I won't get a single cent, I don't pay any taxes all year. I always have to pay in But then again, working construction has its perks
