2000 Rancher 350 Been sitting nearly a year. Will start with a shot of SF but runs rough... pulled carb twice and cleaned the piss out of it. Still wont start without SF and wont run without full choke, some popping and the more throttle ya give worse it gets. New plug. What gives? Also had a lot of fuel coming out of the overflow initially but seems to be better now?? Main questions, but the rebuild kit and new carb sleeve?? or just replace the whole carb?? Am I missing something altogether??
Tank was basically empty to begin with.. there was a bit in it but next to nothing. gauge showed E. I put 2 fresh gallons on top.
Fuel filter? I really don't know but for me it's usually something simple that I have overlooked. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
I had some issues with mine running rough(rubicon) but it was a plug wire issue. Burnt out where it connects to the plug. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
Needle valve looked good actually after the second cleaning carb looks great with the exception of the carb slide. The rubber seems pretty stretched think I got too much carb cleaner on it. Havent changed filter but getting plenty of fuel to the carb. I'm pretty stumped lol spent 7 hrs screwin with it today and really got nowhere. Ugh
I just don't get why I cant get any pop without starting fluid? I have spark and seem to be getting ample fuel?? Confused
Hit it with a hammer. If that doesn't work you have an electrical problem. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
if it ends up being carb issue i would buy new one over rebuild. Honda ATV Forum You will find/get all the answers you need over there.
I'm seeing "new Carbs on Ebay for around 80-90 bucks. The rebuild kit and new carb sleeve would run me about 50. My concern is the "NEW" I assume aftermarket Chinese prison labor carb. I have trolled a few Honda forums and I don't hear good things
Is the gear position -speedometer flashing? If so, that is a code and will tell you exactly what is wrong. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
I just played with it some more. pretty convinced its a lack of fuel from the carb, just dunno if I should buy a kit and new sleeve or the whole carb.............. and these are the days of our lives
If I knew it was a carb issue, for the money, I would replace the whole thing. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
