Hi everyone, This is David's son, Dixon. My dad passed away this morning, and he asked me to update people on this forum when the time came. The friendships and connections he made on this forum meant a lot to him. He loved bowhunting, and loved being part of this community - even though in recent months he probably posted less and less as his health declined. (I'm sure he would have wanted me to add that last part) - Dixon This morning my dad David Miller finally passed away after a long illness. Great man, father, brother, husband, friend and veteran. My wife Vanessa and I arrived at his house in NY last night and spent the evening with him talking at times, helping him and just spending time together. He was very weak, but we all stayed up until 1:30 as I think none of us wanted it to end. I checked on him a few times during the night, but when we finally got out of bed this morning at 9:30 he had passed. He held on until we could get here, and we did spend a couple hours of Christmas together, which we'll be forever thankful for. Last night we said we loved each other, he looked through some old photos of him as a kid and the last thing we discussed was his plans to be buried in Americus, GA with his wife and my mom Beth. He did everything he needed to do, and he was finally ready to let go. Sad to see a great man pass, especially today. But the outpouring he and we've received via email, phone, Facebook, Christmas cards and more all serve as testament to the man he was and how loved he was. He was my hero and a hero to many more. I love you dad...we all love you. To everyone on this holiday, enjoy it and the time with your family and friends. Merry Christmas!

Mr. Miller was a hero to me and I will surely miss him. May his body now rest and his spirit be with us.
Dixon I am sorry to of your dads passing. His life should be celebrated. I wish your family the best.
