So I went in for the lung biopsy. I told you all that they had said it was extremely dangerous because I was on Plavix to protect a stent I had put in 3 weeks ago. Told me to plan on transfusions, lung machine a couple days and all that bad stuff. Bleeding out was a possibility. So they knocked me out and started the operation. Where's all the blood. They did some blood test and found I was one of those few people that Plavix doesn't work on. It's suppose to thin your blood to prevent clots.... mine didn't. Good thing number one. They did the biopsy and I hunkered down to sore lungs and back. The operation and all had just taken too much out of me. I was beat and tired. They said a few days for the biopsy report. They'd get a preliminary report and a few days later the full report. So I was suppose to come home yesterday. They there was some problems and concerns with AFib and other stuff. I had to stay longer. I was coming home today. This morning they said, NOPE, you're staying some more. It was fine with me as I am a basket worn out puppy. All I wanted to do is sleep. About 10 AM my niece(a nurse at the hospitqal) came in. We were talking and she said I wish I could give you a lung. I told her to hang on to hers. I was in a bad place and figured I'd never survive for a lung transplant. She left and went back to her ward. 45 minutes later my lung folks came in. I was worried when 2 of them came in at the same time. They had gotten the preliminary diagnosis from the biopsy. We'll get the full report in a few days. But for now, they say I have a severe infection they can fight. They said prednisone or whatever. I said... isn't that dangerous meds. They said, 3 hours ago you were scheduled to die sometime from a lack of oxygen. Sure it has concerns.... but we have something we can fight. What a damn low to a high that was. I'm still numb. They let me come home this afternoon. So we'll see where it goes. It's better than it was several hours ago or for that matter, better than the past several month. Happy Easter to me. Got to go
Christ arose on the third day after giving us the opportunity for ever lasting life. How appropriate that on the day before we celebrate his new life, you got one.
