So my buddy Will and his boys took on the task of building a lean-to on their property. Not only did they do an awesome job on the lean-to, they did an even better job documenting it as they built it. Good job guys. Thought many of you on here would like to see it as it went up. Anybody on here evercamp and hunt out of one?

And for the efforts - a nice Adirondack buck.

My nephew is building(probably finished by now) one of those too. He got the logs off my lot when I cleared it in 2006. He didn't want the white pine, he just took the redpine I had. The guy that cleaned the lot cut them all, sawed off all the limbs and stacked them off to the side. My nephew made 3 trips with a big trailer to haul logs all the way back to near Albany. Nephew said the biggest pain was stripping the logs. I don't think he's doing all the nice stone work you did. LOL

Looks great. Great buck by the way. There are some true giants in the Adirondacks.

Not really. If you check the record books all the record bucks have come from western counties like Alleghany etc. A couple bruisers from off the wall places like Westchester where there is no gun hunting alllowed because of heavy population. There are some nice deer... rarely... that pop up in the Adirondacks... but not Giants. The winters are too harsh and there are no crops, food plots or feeders to make them grow big horns. Every thing they eat is geared to growing muscles and surviving. They may have a tremendous body... but antlers are not so.
