We need some rain here in my area. I just saw on our local news that for the month of August the Chattanooga area has had a grand total of 0.01" of rain for the month. Lowest amount since 1879 which was 0.04". Can we get a little rain please?

So what you are saying Phillip is that you need to find those watering holes? I gotcha.

    Ouch!

July was terribly dry in Virginia as well. We went July 4th to August 15th without a SINGLE drop of rain.

We really need rain here too. Just to the north and to the south have been getting plenty but it's been skipping here. I have a big garden that is withering away. I finally starting carrying pails of water out to some of the plants but that's a tedious process. I need a water tank for the tractor I guess.

I see a bunch of rain on the radar.... headed this way. I fear it's only teasing.

We received a good amount of rain last night. Makes my job easier because now I don't have to water our new trees that we had planted this last spring.

Nothing like a light rain all night when you are sleeping. Really makes sleeping much easier for me.

I'm jealous! We had cloud cover all morning, and it looked like we were going to get some....but the rain never came.

At least I have somebody to blame it on now too.

No kidding. Never fails, extremely wet springs bring dry summers. We literally couldn't keep on schedule for the first 12 weeks of growing season, and now my crew is mowing every other week on the yards WITH irrigation systems, the rest are dirt by now.

We got about a tenth of an inch of rain yesterday. Tomorrow is supposed to be 101 degrees (not heat index). Phooey.

I'm not getting much of harvest from my garden. (stuff that I sell) The buckwheat I planted for my hens to eat looks absolutely pathetic. I did get 78 eggs today tho'. Yay for chickens. :)

Well on the first day of September we got a good 30 min shower. Not sure how much rain it was but it was the most rain we've seen since early July. We've got a "good possibility" of rain next week according to the weatherman. [Fingers crossed!]

Opening day, this coming Saturday, forecast for my area is sunny and high of 83. Huge break from the 95-100 temps the last 8 weeks! :nana:
