I've used Campell's software for awhile now but find it very limiting with what you can do with it. I still consider myself a beginner so I'm looking for something that is fairly easy to use with plenty of tutorial videos. So far i've looked at Pinnacle studio 18 and premiere elements. Looking to spend between $30-120. Opinions/suggestions?

The full Adobe Production Suite for the past 4 or 5 years. I just upgraded two days ago to the full Adobe Creative Cloud package. Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Speed Grade, and many more.

So with premiere pro you just pay a $30 monthly fee?

    I'm using Premier Pro CC.

For that budget, take a look at Cyberlink Power Director. It's what I started out with and I'd probably still be using it, but the camera I bought has a codec that only CC supported at the time.

$20 a month for just Premier Pro. I have Premier Pro and the Photographers suite which includes Photoshop and Lightroom for another $10 a month. $50 bucks a month for the complete suite unless you are a previous Adobe Creative Suite customer, then it's only $30 a month for the first year I believe.

I was looking at cyberlink. I use a Canon HF G30 so im assuming everything with the codec will be fine. From what I've read cyberlink is a very user friendly program.

I've used Pinnacle 17 ultimate and Adobe premier pro. Pinnacle is a good starter but it is slower at rendering and you will probably have to do some converting before hand. I'm still getting the hang of Adobe but it is sooo much faster and is by far the superior system. I'm learning something new almost every time I edit something but it's a fun learning curve and I enjoy messing around with it during my free time. YouTube is a great resource to help get you started. Best of luck to you!
