New setup

    Finally got all the parts to my new setup. Now all I need is a mic and maybe a Lanc remote. Pretty pumped to get it out in the woods. Sep. 1st can't come soon enough! image.jpg

    Nice, but you won't get a LanC remote to work on a DSLR camera.

    Nice setup! Unfortunately, you are stuck with manual zoom through the lens. It looks like that camera is a T5I, correct? There is auto focus on that camera but it can be jumpy at times. A LANC won't work as far as I know (just as DEC said). DSLR's take amazing footage with enough practice for sure. But it'll be a bit more of a challenge than your standard video camera.

    Nice set up! What would be the ideal set up to begin self filming? Which cameras and mounts or anchors are best to use as a beginner?

    yeah i have been messing around with it and im stuck with manual zoon and focus. But with enough practice i should get pretty good at it.

    What fluid head you running?

    Mine comes in on Thursday. Can't wait to get it set up with my 70D and Muddy Pro Arm!
