I put together this video of my little bro fly fishing. We're lucky enough to have a good trout stream right out the backdoor so we've been going out almost every evening since I've been home from college. I'm not as patient (or good a fisherman) as he is, so I mostly just film. I think it turned out alright but wish it had some better music. I just got to the point where I decided that song was "good enough" after all the searching I did for royalty free music. Where do you get music for your videos? After spending so much time filming and editing, I honestly wouldn't mind paying a couple bucks to have quality music. Let me know what you think! Dang Aaron... he's a fishing machine! Great video I use to live on Catherine Creek here in Upstate NY - a tributary of Seneca Lake. Spent many hours catching trout fly fishing on flies I had tied myself. Does your brother tie flies? Ain't nothing like catching a trout on a fly you tied yourself. Great job man!!!
Thanks! I appreciate it! We don't tie our own flies, but I'm sure that's something we'll get into this summer. Our local fly shop shared the video on their Facebook page and tonight I discovered Orvis (not sure how they found it) put it on the blog on their site, so I'm pretty excited about the response the video has gotten. Hopefully we'll have a few more out by the end of the summer. It's been a lot of fun!

I can't get the video to play, but fly fishing is one of my most favorite things to do. It ranks up there with bowhunting for me. My two real passions in life.

I can honestly say while I was working in corporate America (60+ hours/wk)... the ONLY time I truly relaxed was when I was fly fishing!
I'm in the same boat, with working at the store and having school full-time. The stream and treestand are my two escape locations. Not much compares to the feeling of landing a nice fish on a fly rod!
