Ive posted similar questions before, but want to get some more input.

If you had between $1500 and $3000, what kinda camera would you get into. Been looking close at the Panasonic X1000 in particular.

Obviously keys would be low light, 4k and optical zoom.

I'm going with my same answer as before - Sony AX-100.

I'm a Sony guy, so I would be looking the PXW-Z150. It's a little outside the $3000 range but it would be the obvious upgrade to my PXW-X70. Major benefit is the 1" sensor. 120 FPS recording capabilities in HD.

I do like the looks of the X1000.

If I had the cash I'd stay in the Canon family I've grown used to them so G40 for me.

Another thought would be the Sony A7S or A7S II. As a self filmer I would be hesitant about trying out this as my main camera, but if you are a dedicated cameraman this baby is amazing. Obviously this one will cost you on the back end with adding pro audio other accessories but as cousin Eddie would say "She's a beaut Clark". A full frame sensor recording 4K with the best low light performance on the market. What's not to love. If she only came in a camcorder format.

I should add in that i would use it for both self filming and the designated cameraman style of hunting.

The Panasonic GH5 intrigues me. I think it will be my next purchase
