Some of us have way more money invested in camera and filming gear than we are willing to admit. We also tend to have to put our equipment in danger at times. I find myself needing to be overly cautious and not willing to do certain things because of the risk of damage. I have no intention of dropping my camera, or crashing my drone but accidents happen. With as much money as I have invested in gear, I started to do some research on whether or not I could find an accidental damage insurance policy. Sure enough, State Farm offers a policy that covers accidental damages, theft or loss. The policy is called a Personal Articles Policy and has no deductible and pays full replacement value. It's also reasonably priced. I have just shy of $10,000 worth of equipment insured for $163 a year. Just thought I would share as I know a few people who have experience very expensive accidents. Cough, Cough FITZ.....
thanks for the info. I will have to look into that. I dont have quite as much in equipment as you but i still couldn't afford to replace my camera right now if i dropped it
