Been wanting to try this for years. Finally ponied up the $$$ and got into a video setup for this year.

Everything is charging right now, and I'm waiting on UPS to deliver an Amazon package with memory cards and spare batteries. Will be filming tonight and I can't wait!!

Already got some footage tonight of a couple does and a fawn in the plot in my back yard. Going to have to pick up a newer laptop capable of doing some higher end editing soon.........my current one is really struggling with it.

The setup is based on a Canon G30 and I picked the following accessories to go with it.

    - Lone Wolf arm w/ extension
    - Manfrotto BeFree tripod
    - Pair of Manfrotto 700 RC2 fluid heads
    - Pair of Varizoom VZ-Stealth LANC Controllers
    - Rode VideoMic w/ B&H windscreen
    - GoPro Session w/ remote for 2nd POV

Going to try and get some footage of some of the local deer I know of that are hitting beans pretty regularly this upcoming week. I have to say even after filming in the backyard, I'm glad I went with the G30 and have that extra 20x zoom. Even at the 70 or so yards I was away from those deer tonight it was nice to have the extra zoom.

The G30 is what I'm hoping to upgrade to before the season gets here. Been filming with an older GL2 for the last 4 years now, but the tapes are old news.
