Looking for a small foot print / light weight tripod for pro-consumer video camera and lower for blind hunting.

I would like the Max height to 44 -48" and the weight of the t-pod under 4 LBS (without head).

Suggestions for a good quality unit?

    Thanks in advance!

Grahambo posted this in another thread, said the mono pod is pretty sturdy. I ended up ordering one similar to it off of ebay for $85 w/o the fluid head. Going to give it a try this year and see how it does, seems like it would be perfect for in a blind.

This mono pod idea does have my interest. It appears it is free standing. My only concern is stability for self film hunts. Be different if I had a dedicated camera man holding onto it! Going to see if I can't find Grahambo's post.

Manfrotto has a couple new units out there. I got the 755xb with the mvh500ah head. This head replaced the 701 Manfrotto head. Retails at 450 but what I like about it most is the 50mm bowl head for quick level adjustments without having to adjust the legs perfectly. This also has a center stem which allows you to raise the tripod stem up a little for quick adjustments inside a blind.

or Manfrotto has a slightly cheaper one with a bowl head adjuster as well. This also comes with the mvh500ah head. The downfall is the center support is not removable and the tripod doesn't go as low to the ground as the one above as well as no stem to raise up or down. Trade offs for saving some more money.

This is the one I've been considering.
