Dude my very first time archery hunting turkey,I called a Tom in to 20 yards and didn't do research on vital shots. Needless to say I hit the feathers and nothing else. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
Yep. Last Sunday morning I missed this guy. He came in and put a beating on my jake decoy. (thats why its tipped up in the picture) Went for the headshot but I didnt bother to try and stop him or get his head up before i shot , so I shot as he was walking. If I wouldve taken my time a bit more and waited he woulda been mine. He ran off like nothing happened so just took some feathers off. Put a nice hole in hen decoy behind him though
It happened to me last year the first time I ever went Turkey hunting. Got the miss on video too. I learned a lot from it. It happens. Keep hunting bro!!
