    Today is the WI youth turkey opener. I was with my good friend helping my 10 year old daughter Allison get her first bird. There was a bunch of gobblers right behind gobbling like crazy and at 6:30 my daughter shot her first bird. It is 24# with a 9" beard and 3/4" spurs.

    An hour later we heard a shot from where my son Justin was hunting with another buddy. Justin's bird is 27# 10 inch beard and 1 & 1 1/8" spurs.

    Those are two awesome birds! I wish I was in WI for youth season but I have baseball... What area were you guys hunting?
