Turkey during Deer ?

How often do you guys see turkey while deer hunting?

 

I have seen it alot there would be this one stand that the turkey would come out of the timber like clock work starting at 5 and it was a good group at least 20 if not more. it was fun to watch when there was no deer around.

 

Often, and deer during turkey season. Unfortunately we only have a spring turkey season in NC...

 

Almost all the time, pending you're in the right places.

 

Do u guys keep turkey tags n take one or just focus on deer ?

 

I just focus on deer, turkeys are nearly impossible to draw on when you're in an elevated position.

I absolutely get turk tags. have been lucky enough to arrow three turkeys during the deer season . for $ 15.00 and a chance to harvest another game animal you bet i will !!!!!!

fall turkey opens same day as deer here in TN. no separate tag needed

 

We have separate tags for everything in Il

 

I see them quite often during bow season but always to far to shoot. I don't seem to see them during spring when i am specifically hunting for them lol.

I always keep a turkey tag in my pocket while deer hunting. It is usually filled before Thanksgiving!

I see them every deer season in southern illinois

 

Missouri bow tag includes two deer and two Turkey...almost always fill both Turkey tags before rifle season.
They are harder to draw on from a tree stand, but it can be done. All the birds I've killed have been shot from a stand.
All about shot placement ..they have a small kill zone
