I want to share a story behind this buck or more so the property. A few years ago I had a friend move away to farm with Family he purchased this some land. He isn't too keen on hunting or someone he doesn't know well onto his property. Out of the blue he invited me to come down to visit and offered to bow hunt his land. So over the last few years I been putting cameras on his land to see if the almost 2 hour drive would be worth it. Well in July I put out cameras and last weekend was the first time I got a chance to check them. When I got home, I was shocked by what I had. Here is what appears to be a 3 half year old freak. I'm drawling a blank on naming this buck. Now the really question is. Do I try to hunt/kill this freak or leave the property alone like I have the last 3 years and let him get one more year under the belt. I personally don't harvest any buck under 4.5 or under 150inches, but is this an exception? Keep in mind this is almost 2 hours from home so would make a lot of drive time.

No joke i would make the drive any day i could to hunt something of that caliber. sure hes not 4.5.... Hes definitely gonna be around 150 or more. Name him curly cue because of the drop tine and the bent brow tine.

I think he's old enough. Hes at the age that waiting another year is playing russian roulette. If you're off by a year in age he could well either not gain anything or regress next year. If you think that caliber deer is worth your time then I wouldn't let age be an excuse.

You are seriously debating a 2 hour drive to hunt a buck like that? Come on! That's ridiculous. I hope you get out there, shoot that buck, and enjoy every minute of it. Life is too short to be so serious all of the time. Go get him man!!

There is no way I let that deer keep me from a 2 hour drive. I would pedal my bike to that farm if I had the chance to kill that deer. Go get him and do it now!

I would definitely wait...until tomorrow morning and SLAY that buck! Don't see that everyday and you have access to him.
Try to zero in on his home range and get'er done.
    Best of luck!
