Thanks Tom, you all have no idea how long I sat there in that spot waiting for those two bucks to pose. This deer photography thing is getting ridiculous.

I cheated, I had it on a gimble on a chin strap. The one on my head overshot.

That's why I said it was a teaser.

I still have some other cards to pull on other properties. I didn't get very many of the old regulars that are usually the bigger ones. On this property these came from I have four big bucks missing so far. Neighbor had a big bachelor group with at least two of those so I guess they are just moving around. We have a big patch of sawtooth oaks though that have nuts on them this year so they'll be back from across the road. Neighbor had pics of the big nine from last year that I thought would be a big ten this year and he is, he popped the tenth point out on his right side this year and his tine length is better. He also had a pick of the one I named Maverick in my avatar. I think Maverick was about the same this year from what I could see on his hand held camera.

We have a couple of the red oaks already dropping acorns. They aren't as big as last year but they are starting to fall.

Damn things are probably hard boiled as hot and dry as it's been, this heat is ridiculous.
