I'm going to give these cams a try this season. I've had Moultrie, Stealth, Bushnell, Covert, Eyecon, and probably a few other brands over the years. Might as well try another one out. These are certainly priced right, hopefully they will produce quality day and night pics.
I've seen them for $99 @ Rogers Sporting Goods. They list for 119.99 for the Pro-Cam 12 model. The Pro-Cam 10 lists for 79.99.
They look exactly like my Brownings, even down to the camo. I wonder if the same company is making both of them. Blessings........Pastorjim
There have been more than a few bad reports on their performance in the field. I was looking at them as well due to the name and the price point. But after reading a few real world reports on how they perform, I decided to pass. There was a recent one over on AT if you want to run a search on it.
Main reason I got them was to compare them to other cam's. I plan on setting a couple double sets with a Muddy and a Covert and see how they compare in picture quality, trigger speed and number of false triggers. There shouldn't be too many reviews out on them yet as they haven't been available on the market for very long at all.
I tried to look for the thread over there and found one where a guy was reviewing the Pro-Cam 10 model. Looking at the specs, there's a pretty big difference in trigger speed between the two. Specs for the Pro-Cam 10 has a 1.5 sec trigger speed vs. the .6 second on the Pro-Cam 12. I had read the review on trailcampro which also confirmed the lack of trigger speed on the 10, but graded out the 12 as decent at .75 seconds.
I will be interested to see your thoughts on them. I know that I went with some positive feedback recently on forums and TrailcamPro on the new Spypoint Force 10. What a mistake that was. I have never been so disappointed in a camera (horribly dark photos and missed encounters with animals). Thankfully TCP has a great return policy and has been excellent to work with on the issues. I think I am going to pick up the Bushnell E2 from them. Nick at TCP highly recommends that camera.
I'm very surprised. I was going to pick up one of the new spypoint 10s at some point. I just got 2 of the new browning elites and they are fantastic so far.
Take a look at my post on Chasing Game. Some comparisons to a Stealth G42NG. Two cameras on the same tree, pointed at the same spot. The Spypoint missed a ton of photo ops. I got the 10' and the 12' to try out for a little while. They to me feel like a cheap knock off browning (I had strike forces since they came out and have a 2016 model). The muddy 12 I have took on water each time it rained. It poured out water when i opened the front cover. The 12' is the better of the two for sure for settings and pictures. The 10' i have doesnt like to keep the day. The time/ month/ year stay the same but the day is goofed up. Customer service= No luck through the website, or calling their #. Best way I got through to them was through Facebook. But then it was 20 ?'s and I would have to return it to the retailer. But they are a new trail cam company, well guess they are the Eycon brand basically (you tube a video at the ATA and dude says it).
One of the guys on our lease picked up 2 of the 10 MP cameras. Holy BALLS they couldn't have copied a Browning camera more. It is CRAZY how much stuff they steal from other companies
