Private property that no one has permission to. Camera is on the back corner. I'm in central MN 10 miles west of Princeton. Kills a tom on our property and hunts 5 straight days after the kill.
Doesn't surpise me anymore. Hope you catch the dirtbag red handed! Look at the bright side, at least your camera was still there, unlike mine
You know, if a warden really wanted to help you and nail this guy, it would only take a little investigation. If the dirtbag reported the turkey, he can check harvest records for that day, look up license photo and compare it to yours. Might be worth a shot
I would def follow up on this with the DNR. You have a very detailed pic of the guy. Hope it works out for you. Blessings.........Pastorjim
I would definitely turn those in.you have 5 very clear/detailed pics of him, would pretty hard for a warden to not be able to find him. You could also try posting them on Facebook and seeing if anybody knows the guy.Dont say that he trespassed or that your mad at him just ask if anybody knows the guy.
That sucks. People have no respect anymore. He is clearly not worried about being caught on the property. never understood how people could do that hope you find him
The most frustrating part of this is that it's not my land. It's my girlfriends parents. When I showed her dad he didn't seem too concerned. I'll talk to him tonight and will probably go to the dnr either way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you have sole, written, permission. Then I believe you have grounds to file a legit complaint. If you don't have either of those, then it probably won't do any good. I still would notify a Warden just incase he's doing this somewhere else. If your FIL doesn't care to pursue this, help him understand that this is probably the least this guy is doing. That you're worried about stuff being stolen. Also if this guy is this flagrant, he's probably the type that will sue because he got hurt on your land. Good luck
Does he know the guy? If so I would leave it alone. The reason I ask is that I can almost bet the amount of time that the guy spent there he saw your camera. I would definitely mention that to your girlfriends father before turning them into the DNR. It could be that he gave permission to the guy but didn't want to ruffle your feathers. Either way its safer to inform him prior to turning them over to the DNR. If he does not know who the guy is I would definitely contact the DNR and report it, especially since he has a dead bird in hand.
I would bet within a day of his pic being on facebook you would have a name. You have proof of him hunting illegally even without the trespass Nail em !
He does not know who the guy is. I would honestly not care if the guy would have just asked. Do I put a note in the blind that is out there now or just contact the dnr right away?
