I am looking for new trail cameras and I was wondering if anyone has or know anything about Cabela's brand trail cameras. Are they worth the money? Any input would be great.

Whenever I buy cabela's products I do a bit of research into other companies with similar designs, I know their arrows are Easton, the sights are Apex. So with enough research I'm sure you can find what brand they are, then do research on the manufacturer.

I have 5 of them and they have done me well. One has been out for 3 years w/ no problems. They are good on batteries and the video works well. The only downside is no way of locking the latch to the SD card or batteries. The upside is that you can lock the main camera w/ a Python lock so the camera is pretty secure. If you catch them on sale, they run around $100. I've also read the reviews that Cabelas is good about any returns for problems.

Honestly, if it's half-way decent, you might be better off going with the Cabelas unit since their return policy is so liberal.

Love their return policy. Makes most everything a little bit better.

Haven't used one since 2010ish. A the time it was a decent cam (Mine was a Moultrie Cabelas edition).
