We had some historic rainfall last month in NE OK, 12-26-15 through 12.28.15 about 10" over 48 hours. I had moved a camera down into a creek bed to watch a creek crossing. It turned out to be a fatal move for this G42NG. Luckily, it was secured with a lockbox & cable or it would probably be gone. Here is the footage, in GIF format, up until it stopped working after being fully submerged. Based on what I can approximate from online rainfall data, there had been about 4" of rain over the previous 12 hours. I'm surprised the camera didn't record a more gradual rising of the creek, but it's certainly possible that it did rise gradually until the deluge came roaring down and the cam just didn't get triggered or if it really just came down the creek in a big deluge all at once. click for giffy, time lapse, goodness...
I'm surprised it worked as long as it did! Once water got into the battery case I figured it would short out.
