I think this is the buck I had within shooting range on 11/11. For those of you not familiar with the story, I saw him at about 0730 that morning. He was sniffing the ground and acting like he wanted to go back the way he came from several times. I kept blowing the grunt and he would turn and look at me but acted like he was going to leave. Finally after the fourth time he turned his whole body and started walking towards me. He came to within 25yds and stopped broadside with his head behind a tree. I drew and then "it" happened! I'm thinking "this guy is going home with me in the truck today"......only he didn't. When I drew the bow, my hand got back by my face and my glasses completely fogged!. All I could see was the outline of the deer. I kept moving my head back and forth, hoping the air moving across my glasses would clear them, but it didn't. He finally moved off towards a doe bedding area. Thinking he would come back after he checked it out, I kept watching in that direction. Sure enough, after about an hour he did come back, only this time he was well out of range. Anyway, this video is from 11/12 at another one of my stand sites. In going through my cards, he was at that stand three different days, all in the daylight. He looks to be 9pt and I would guess him to be in the 140s. Oh what might have been!!!

Man, that's a stud. Too bad you couldn't get a shot at him. I had a similar experience this year at 18 yards. Stinks when that happens but he'll be bigger next year. :D

I know you had to be sick after that incident!! I wear glasses also but fortunately I'm farsighted but can still focus on my pin so I take my glasses off when hunting.
