1700 pictures from 11/29-3/14/15. Batteries made it all winter. Deer look in great shape. My plot of brassicas were a hit all winter. Activity slowed about mid-February but I'll take it for a 0.30 acre. But they are still showing up here and there. No mature bucks that I could tell from the pictures but some young ones with the does and fawns which is pretty typical for me outside of the rut. Brassicas really seem to do really well for me. Imagine 2 acres of this?
Great pictures. I have to say, that in the farm country that I hunt, I have never had any action on brassicas.
We had 4 acres of radishes/turnips/buckforage oats/brassica and the deer ate it all down to stubs. I was out there last weekend and man does it smell bad! But worth it! there were places that it was almost 3 ft tall and its all gone. Will definitely plant more next year.
We probably don't have the deer densities you have. But you never know I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Beans and corn are great if you have at least an acre. anything smaller and the deer will devour them before season is over.
Thanks! I may try a acre or two this year. It's been about 2-3 years since I've put out any food plots due to the neighbors cattle getting onto my farm but with new fence that problem has been taken care of.
