Is it me, or are these Red 40s sensitive to how they are placed? It seems to activate with light changes through the trees? I do point it north, but sometimes I get pics and there's nothing there, just the woods. Is it best to have it positioned so that there's no sky/treetops involved? The cam doesn't miss a trick though. Thanks for any insight.
Have you looked at the sensitivity within the setup function? Or maybe it's the wind. I've never had this problem
I have quite a few Red40s and if there is a drastic change in lighting, it sometimes take a pic. Like BigPhil_H said, check the sensitivity setting.
I've been using the default settings for the most part. It might have been the drastic light changes, as the sun was in and out often that day.
I think that is what was happening. I had that issue a few times and I moved it to a different spot or turned it in a different direction.
I usually set mine on low sensitivity when on field edges. Maybe a few false triggers but nothing major.
