Any body out there connect the Covert solar panel to their cameras? if so how long did it go before you and to change out the batteries? I have a 2014 Code Black G3 an love it but it eats a set of 12 batteries in a little over a week. I am hoping to get some long term use using the solar panel.

Got a couple on black 60s for surveillance, not even sure how long the first one has been up. Using regargable batteries with it. I know it's been months though.

Edit...just looked back, it's been out since September.

12 batteries a week??? Is that normal for that camera? I had a faulty Black 60 that went through batteries in about a month but they sent me a brand new one

Solar panel + rechargeable batteries. Battery selector switch on NIMH. Should result in endless use without having to go to the camera.

Thats what I am hoping. current testing it out by leaving camera in my office and solar panel in window which faces south. So far been running a week and battery is holding at 6. If it drops lower than that I will call covert.

I was guessing it was due to cold and only 2 bars of cell signal. Hopefully the solar panel will fix that but time will tell.

It is common for rechargeable batteries to read 5-7 as the battery meter reads volts and rechargeable batteries have a lower max voltage
