Like an idiot, I put one of the four D batteries in upside down in my Cudde Capture. It was like that for a week, now there's brown liquid inside the cam and the countdown keeps repeating. I'm thinking it's done?

Putting a battery in backwards should be the equivalent of a 3v system. Most cameras shut off at a certain point when the voltage drops too low say 4.8 out of 6v so I'm guessing the liquid is from something else and that could have broke your camera but not putting a battery in backwards

Take all the batteries out and let it sit for a while. Maybe it will reset.

Thanks for the input. I took it apart today and the circuit board is damaged, something actually looks melted on it. It's done.

I wouldn't think that would kill it. Do what pastorjim said and also try to reset it with batts in. and clean out the battery compartment.
