hey guys has anyone had issues with the m100 cams? I have two and yet to get a full season out of them. have already sent back to Moultrie once to be reprogrammed for not turning on. Now one takes one or two pics and shuts off and the other takes pics that have so many lines washing out that they are unreadable. with so many out there I am just about fed up with trying to use these pos.....
I have to pull the batteries in mine sometimes and hold down power button to drain memory and reset. I was told it was caused by not using the correct SD card Sent from my iPhone 5s using Tapatalk
I've had the Moultrie M-100 almost 2 years, got it on Christmas Day 2012. It used be picky about SD cards is the only problem I've encountered. Been using 8GB SanDisk cards and the trouble stopped. Day pics set to the highest resolution aren't as good as my Coverts, but the M-100 night pics are much better than the Covert MP6, Covert Extreme Red 40, or their Black 60. Battery life seems better in the Coverts. If I decide to buy another Moultrie in a few weeks can anyone recommend the best model for under $175?
M-880 c or M-880 I. Same cameras, but the c is whiteflash. You will spend between 135 and 160. It is the best all around camera on the market.
thanks guys we have a few diffrent brands and we routinely swap sd cards. ill try useing one set for the m100s.
I think its quick format. I just right click on the sd card "file" on "my computer" and it says format. Usually takes about 10-15 seconds for a few hundred pics.
I'd recommend that you format the cards with the camera and not your PC. This can certainly back fire on you.... This is one of the reasons I buy two cards per camera and ONLY use those cards in that specific camera. I don't worry about reformatting cards....
It has been working great for me so far. My original plan was to format them using the cam but some cams don't have that feature, so I'm doing the next best thing. The past 4 years I didn't even format them or anything and I never had any problems until this summer.
