These pictures are from 2012, but I still have a sore spot for this buck. Had some consistent pictures of him leaving up to the season, then he was hit by a car. I saw him on my way to work one day in the ditch, and when I came back by after work someone had hacked off his antlers! He would have looked awesome on my wall too.
I have....only once tho....if that guy doesnt get nicknamed "moose" or "bullwinkle" theres a problem with the naming convention...good deer with great character...
Tine length is short and he would score horribly. Maybe you should let me shoot him this year. But seriously that is a unique looking buck. I like character because it can be rare. I have seen some with palmation but not to the degree the points are that short. Nice looking buck.
Checc this one out found it earlier this year we think it was shot or just died but the mass an growth on this thing was a jaw dropper I mean its a big one too
seen similar but not to that extreme. There was a buck on the property I hunt in WI that was almost that palmated; just with fewer actual points. We had pics of him fairly regularly in July/Aug then it was like he disappeared after labor day. Never got another pic of him again and never saw him in person. I'll see if my buddy still has those pics on his computer. (they were on his trail cam) below is the buck my dad shot with rifle (I think it was 2010.) These beams are over 4" tall. Scored 167 7/8 net. I think he was 189 gross, IIRC.
thanks; guy did a great job. I stare at it in awe for a good 2-3 minutes every time I go back home. Dad wasn't sure it would be worth the money to get it mounted- he was just going to do a Euro. I told him he was FING nuts. It ended up as his Christmas present from me, Ma, and my sis. He almost cried when he saw it. Some of the best money I ever spent.
