    That poor thing. I kind of jump to assumption of poaching. People are idiots. Amazing that the animals are so tough, but have to worry about infection in the body.

    I'll go the other route on this one... We don't know if that was an attempted poached animal or a stupid shot.

    A lot of weird things happen - This deer could have reacted at the shot and got it in the head, we don't know. We do know that deer are extremely tough animals!

    Yeah no way to know if it was a poacher or not. Deer can move a lot from the time that arrow leaves to when it gets there. She could have turned her head back to lick her shoulder right when he/she shot. just one of those things. the definitely are some tough animals!

    I know that most poachers here (I turned in an old "friend" for it) - would shoot them in the head. He shot some in the eye, in which they go in a circle and you can easily get them. Like I said, I'm assuming...so it doesn't mean it's that way.

    May never know what really happened for the arrow to wind up in the deers head, accidental or poaching. One thing is certain though, it is fuel for the anti-hunters that bowhunting is cruel.
