Went to pull a chip yesterday on a set that hadn't been checked in three weeks. I was anxious to see the pics from it as it always has some good bucks show up this time of year. Well out of 1300 pics I had one that you tell there was a deer in the frame. Everything else was grey out pics.. I immediately went back to change out the camera. After looking over the camera I noticed the lens was covered by a spiders nest. Wiped it off and tested it. Back in action again :(

Just a reminder.. always ckeck the lens on your trail cam after changing out chips..

Gonna be a long two weeks now wondering what I missed on that set!

Ouch, that sucks! Part of the game though.... between spiders, ants, limbs breaking and leaves blocking it, forgetting to turn it on, ect ect ect it can be a real PITA sometime LOL

I've done it all; forgot to turn them on, left them in menu mode, put the same card right back in the camera, and too many other faux pauxs to even mention. Oh the joys of trail camming!

My big thing is getting so excited to check cameras that I forgot to grab new cards when I go out!
