When you check your cameras do you carry a weapon ? A friend of mine had a run in with this momma coyote when he checked this set and was very happy he had his pistol on him as she was not happy. I do not carry but will in the future.

    I do not... Maybe a saw/knife.

    This makes me think otherwise.

Nope and don't see the need to. Coyote maybe but that's all here in SW MN that I'd be worried about.

I carry if I'm by myself, which is usually the case when checking cams. I've seen up to four yotes running together at times. And with that many, you never know what they might try.

I carry a knife even though if I had to use it I would end up hurting myself more then the predator. Scoot

I have an old .22 revolver I carry most of the time, usually with rat shot and regular every other one. In the market for a new pistol, actually have been for some time.

Every time i go out, and i have a machete with me at the cameras 90% of the time too. Normally its just the .38 LCR in my pocket, and i strongly urge anyone looking for a good pocket gun to check out the LCR, but sometimes ill put one of the .357s on my hip. (Sorry bout the .22, only picture i had of the guns i mostly take with me)

I carry a Beretta 92 on my hip. One in the chamber, hammer dropped but safety off.
I'm usually carrying a rifle too. Either the 10/22 or my AR.

Sometimes my Remington VTR 204, sometimes my 22 rifle. Just depends on how nice it is outside, I don't like the 204 going through a bunch of mud and water. It's nice to have it though when I see a coyote a couple hundred yards away.
