I have been wanting this camera for awhile. Got it in the mail and had to try it at home first to see before I take it to the woods. If you have not heard I think a couple of the companies brought back old school white flash. Moultrie, Covert, ? Maybe more can't remember for sure. I attached an example of day and night. Seems pretty good. Pulled most of mine and will be hard at it again around May 1st with al of them.

Yeah me too. I have an older cam with white flash and still use it. I think it is a D-555 if I remember, it doesn't seem to run everything off I know there is a bit of risk.

Im really looking forward to getting a covert illuminator. White flash cams make for great creek crossing cams IMO.

Great pics, I been thinking about buying one of the Covert white flash too but from the looks of your pics, frenchbritt, I might just change my mind. Only have one whiteflash now, it's one of those 50 buck Tascos, does a pretty good job but ain't as pretty as your pics.

The Covert Illuminator will be a white LED camera It will be able to take a 3 shot burst and will be able to recover quicker as it wont have to recharge the capacitor. That being said the flash will suffer a little and it will be a great "close up" camera and will not put out the light the Moultrie does.

Looks good. Is trigger speed slower with white flash or have no bearing?

No bearing on trigger speed. White flash normally takes 30 seconds to recharge before it will take another picture at night.

The white LED camera will be able to take another pic or set of pics as soon as it writes the pics to the card. (7-12 seconds)

At first I didn't know if I would like going back to a white flash camera but one thing's for sure, they do have their place. I can think of a couple of locations I'd love to have one going this summer.

I have been thinking about getting one because I love the color pics at night but I just wasn't sure if they would spook the deer more.

I hear ya. I am a little worried. I will be putting this one out Saturday in a high traffic area and should tell if it slows down over the coming weeks. I am just sick of the crap night pics.

Well for the most part I feel like the night pics on the M880 aren't to bad as far as industry standards go. Would be nice to have a camera around if I wanted to get some color pics. I was going to buy one of those camera bundles on Ebay that comes with 10 cameras a little later this spring. It was just going to be the base M-880 2014 model but maybe I will see if I can add in a M880C to the mix.

Moultrie guy told me when I talked to him at a show that this camera was developed for the people over seas that wanted close up color pictures of rare animals 15 feet away and deer hunters really dont have a need for it.

The moultrie picture looks nice, but the other pictures I seen elsewhere looked horrible.

But really this camera and the upcoming Covert are the only cams I know of coming out. I know recoynx has some white flash ones, but no one knows when they are coming out and I seen them guys had them on the Whitetail Property Tv show on Sportsman channel.

I have always loved white-flash. It's great to see so many new models using it.

Am I the only one who has no interest in a white flash camera? I understand the pics are better but I'm not looking for National Geographic quality stuff here. I just want to know where the deer are at and what time they're there. If I can get that info without scaring the bejesus out of a percentage of the deer with the white flash or tipping off trespassers/potential thieves to the location of my camera then I'm happy.

What's next? We're all going back to the TM Hunter?
