I cant be the only one who has problems with these straps... right? They seem so much tougher to use than other cameras I've seen/used. Anyone have a different method of hanging these cameras? I obviously know about the stic n pic but am not looking to spend $25 to hang a camera.
I've never had a problem with any of mine ...what exactly is your issue with them?...i wrap it around the tree...buckle and pull tight...pretty straight forward....i do sometimes position it differently with a stick or something put behind the top or bottom of the camera for the right angle
The length of the strap coupled with the tightening of it... I must have attached the buckle incorrectly or something. When attaching them to the trees I thought to myself - "It should not be this hard to use a strap and buckle..."
Unless your twisting the strap and the buckle is facing the tree making it hard to tighten i have no idea
when you put the strap on, make sure the male end of the buckle is flipped to the correct side... it can make it much more difficult to adjust if not.
haha I know exactly what you're talking about. It took me forever to figure out how to attach it correctly but when done right, its quick and easy.
A stick behind the camera is a MANDATORY...(glad im not the only one). I've never had an issue with mine either. Not sure what to tell ya bud...my buddies wild game he just got literally has 2 tiny bungee cables. They can only fit around a tree smaller then the width of the camera. Honestly never had a problem with mine. Post a pic of how you threaded it. We may be able to suggest something then.
I actually had the girlfriend thread them up while I was setting the cameras up. I just got them hung so I won't be able to get pics for a while. I will be sure to get pics when I do my card pulls. I use python cable to attach them for the most part,sometimes long black zip ties work real well also. And I use zip ties on the door lock too.
I saw this type of mount on one of the forums. I'm still playing with it making some improvements. I have since gone to a shorter lag into the tree as to get the camera closer to the tree.
Yep I'd say the buckle is threaded wrong. If you want to check out some longer or different type of straps, go to Strapworks.com. They have every kind, color, length, width, or buckle you can imagine. I ordered a couple 5 foot straps with a stainless steel cinch buckle (painted the buckle black). It is the same style strap the Summit Climbers use to hold the top and bottom together. They work great! Sent from my XT901 using Tapatalk
