[IMG] Just wanted to post some pics of whitey for the last time. Had a neighbor call me and told me his neighbors friend from Illinois shot him during gun season. I guess land owners in the area have seen him and had an agreement to let him mature and whoever shot him would get a full body mount, the think that upset guys is that guy that shot him did nothing with him. Anyway here a few pics of him. Scoot

wow beautiful deer! Truly amazing! Thats a shame to hear, they all get together and on the same page to let him mature and build a relationship with the deer and the chase of getting after him one day...only for someone to shoot him during gun season not even from the area and do NOTHING with him...thats sad. Thanks for sharing the pics, really is amazing!

I am not sure I could shoot an albino deer or not. I would love to just watch them because you never know if you will see that ever again in your life roaming wild. If I was able to let an arrow go I sure as heck would at least try to get some type of mount or at least get the hide tanned. Or if i couldn't afford it I would offer it to others.

What a terrible loss of such a beautiful deer.

Another reason why it is hard to allow people to hunt on private land. Id be po ! That was a special deer then to have someone from out of the area take him is an insult.

What a shame that the guy who shot him didn't even do anything with it.

I love how people hold albinos as a holier power. Their a deer. I kill them.

I might be completely wrong, but I was under the impression that its illegal to shoot an albino deer in Wisco?

Thanks for sharing the photos. Now lost more got to see him and will remember. On the positive note however as backcountry pointed out they are deer and albino is not really a gene you want propagating through the herd. If for no other reason than its an abnormality. But still they are nice to look at too.

From what I understand if the deer is in a CWD zone its legal this change occurred in 2008 I think.
