Anyone that has ever run trail cams has a camera or two they thought about buying and maybe did or didn't for whatever reason. Moultrie A5 was that camera for me. I finally bought one and although it is very early in the life of this camera, I am very pleased! Here are a few pictures from the first pull. I will try to get a few videos uploaded some day when I switch it to video mode.

I have always had good luck with them. They don't look like an 880 or 990, but for $50.00 to $80.00 they are well worth it. Moultrie has done a good job of improving their entry level cameras over the years.

I bought an A-5 last year, had it out for a week and the IR went out. Thankfully it was still under Wal-Marts 15 day warranty and they let my exchange it for a new one. I had the same problem with the next A-5. I returned it and spent 10 more dollars on the Primos 35 Truth Cam and it's still in the woods. However, I wish you better luck than I originally had with them haha. Awesome pics by the way

Yeah that's a risk I was willing to finally take. Got it for $45 on wingsupply so I wont be out much some day down the road.

I bought mine on Amazon. They were $139.95 Free shipping! That was the cheapest price I could find.

Just a thought, but the D-55IRXT is on clearance at Rogers Sporting goods for $69 right now. I bought several of them last week. Just put the first one out last weekend so not sure how they work but reviews are great. Apparently they are a 1.7 second trigger and 8 second recovery with a legit 50' range on infrared. Not the greatest stats but still respectable and I couldn't find anything else in the $70 range that compared.
