I know some season's are already open, even if it doesn't feel like spring. Mine open April 15th... Anyone else getting ready to Turkey hunt?? Chris
Bowhunting turkey I am starting April 13th.....I will be going at it hard with a bow this year....I got them the shotgun last year and the bow the year before so hopefully I can put a couple more down with the stick and string this year....
DSD are excellent and are what I have been using for the last couple of seasons but some of the new decoy offerings this year are pretty sweet. Jake/hen or hen early with a strutter later in the season. I am trying a flock this year early on to see if it will help those stubborn toms come have a look! Good luck all! I've got a set of two hens and a jake, the hard plastic bodied type. I've just never had any luck with them, they seem to scare the tom away. Don't know what the problem is... My wife got me a killer-b tom decoy that has the string to pull the tail feathers down.. Anyone had any luck using one of these?? I also bought a simple feather-flex hen decoy.. going to try all different decoys this year. ArrowCrazy.... not sure what DSD are?? chris
I will be out with the bow as well, going for my brothers hunt and two weeks after that for my hunt ! Bow in hand, double bull darkhorse blind, thunder chicken decoy, and a she mobile decoy Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
I'll be waiting for the May 4th opener in PA. If I take a bow, it'll be a Morrison Mini 14 ILF riser with Uukha HX 10 Nature short recurve limbs.
DSD stands for Dave Smith Decoys woodsman, They are incredible!! I have actually jumped a little right at day break because i thought a big gobbler had snuck up on me without a sound!
