I was just curious to what you guys shoot. I feel like when I shoot 3 under it is a little louder, maybe it is just because the arrow is closer to my ear or something. I almost like 3 under better because the arrow is a little closer to your eye. I don't aim down the arrow but out of my peripheral vision I can see it and I like the setup. I don't have any problem pinching the arrow when i shoot split finger but im a little worried i might when im out hunting. Right now that is what i have been shooting, Split finger. That and Fred bear shot split finger and he's my idol.

I have always shot split finger when shooting my longbows or recurve. 3 under never felt right.

Split finger, I have tried three-under and it just seemed like I had more flight trouble with it. Plus I don't think I ever really got used to it that much, it just felt weird and my shots were not as consistent.

Split finger. I also used to use my cheekbone (fingertips)/jaw under earlobe(thumb) as my anchorpoint with my recurve, so the arrow would be closer to my eye.

I've shot 3 fingers under for the last 3yrs, but had trouble with my depth of kill, I swapped to split fingers 3x months ago and sorted the problem out instantly. Split fingers feels more natural to me now and has given me greater confidence at longer ranges.

I grew up split fingers. Shot that way since 1976. Several years back i tried three under. Shot that way for about three years. I eventually went back to split fingers.

Split. I tried three under and also string walking at the advice of a friend and I shot terrible. went back to split and have been happy since.

I have shot split-finger since I could walk, thats just how I was taught. Tried 3-under for a bit and shot the same, but it felt uncomfortable. The great thing about traditional archery is that technique and form are all a matter of preference. There is no "best" method, it's solely up to the individual archer.

I shoot split finger becuase I feel that it is easier to get a clean release and helps me to not torque the string .Also unless the bow is tillered specifically for 3 under it is best to shoot split. Shooting 3 under on a standard bow makes the limbs different lengths effecting performance and accuracy.

    3 Under for recurves
    Split for my longbows

I'm much more accurate with my recurves shooting 3 under.
