So I have an HHA kingpin and I've been trying to sight it in for weeks. I get frustrated and quit every single time. I've used HHA tapes, marked my own on a blank and everything you could think of. I get the yardages perfect and I'm shooting great and then I take the tape off to either put on the HHA actual numbered tape or waterproof it when it's my own. So I take out the set screw and take the wheel off. And every time I put the wheel back on and move to the EXACT SAME MARK, it's consistently feet off. Maybe I'm simply dumb. In fact that's surely part of the problem. However, I can't see what is going wrong. Thanks guys.

Are you making sure it’s locked down? So it doesn’t move the pin when you pull the shell off. I did that a couple of times when I was shooting a King Pin TE.

Using the Setup tape you should first sight your bow in at 20 yards. The King Pin has a "blind 20" feature which is essentially a stopper your can set which bottoms the wheel out at your 20 yard setting. You always want to start there and make sure the blind 20 stop is set. If the stopper doesn't reach when your bow is at 20 yards you'll need to move the housing to another set of holes on the sight bracket. Every King Pin I've setup either uses the bottom two holes or the set immediately above it.

Once you have this done you can remove the wheel and you'll always know exactly where your 20 yard mark is - even when the wheel is off. Now apply your tape, put the wheel back on and rotate it so the 20 yard mark is under the magnifier (or brass pin if you're using that). Tighten the wheel down and you're done.

Shane like Kirk said did you set your bottom out so that it was 20. If so all you have to do is move to that and make sure the 20 yard mark is lined up with the pointer. That should work.

You could always take it into a shop that can take your measurements and print you out a custom sight tape.
While you're there they can also make sure your sight is leveled properly

You would put the setup tape on one wheel then once you find your site tape number lock the site down on the 20 or 60 number.
Take the setup wheel off and apply the correct site tape to the other wheel. Now put that wheel on the site and line it up with whatever yardage you locked it down on. Now tighten the set screw and you should be good.

I would also watch a few YouTube videos if you need further information.

I always sight my bow in at 20 yards, then put the setup tape at 0. Pretty simple really. And if you're using the UNO app to figure out which tape to use, you don't need the setup tape at all.

Did you use the set up tape and the formula ? or just trying with a blank tape and marks first?

I don't understand why you have to take off the wheel to put the tape on.
