Just bought the camera and accessories to start filming this year...Is there any good vid's that can help with using the camera....Controls, settings, etc....

I know photography pretty good.....Shutter Speed, ISO, Aperture......BUT, this is different and I want to learn as much as possible on the Video side of things....

Just thought someone could point me in the right direction..>Thanks for your time

I have a Cannon Mounted on my bow. Takes great video for a $200 camera. The one thing I learned is do not zoom in too close. when looking in the viewer screen, its always better to leave space around the deer when the video is running.

Congrats on your setup! How much did you spend if you don't mind me asking? The reason I ask is because I plan on purchasing a setup in the future.

Congrats. That's a good start. Now you just need a good tree arm, fluid head and a Tripod. There should be lots of videos out on Youtube showing you how to operate it. Just search "Canon G40 Tutorial"

I've got all of that, except the tree arm....Believe I'm going with the 4th arrow for that, and will probably get it soon, I can practice....Otherwise Im set for Turkey season opener in a couple weeks....

I don't think you can go wrong with the 4th arrow. I used the Stiff Arm Pro all last season. I love the ability to level anywhere and to leave the bases in the tree. Really speeds up your setup time.

Congrats Creeks! You're about to have a lot of fun. Looking through your goodies, you're getting great equipment (I have the old G20 & love it)... You'll eventually want the larger battery too. I found that I needed to have another after all day sits... Nothing like a dead battery at the end of the day when a giant wants to sneak through! I keep the small one charged in the pack for back up. Can't wait to see your videos!

Great set up I have the same one. WRT the camera arm did the 4th arrow come out with some longer arms? Seems like that was the biggest complaint with them was that they were to short. For me thats a no go.

They added an extension that you can purchase. The carbon arm is very short, the stiff arm is also short, but not as short. The Stiff Arm Pro is plenty long. The extension is pretty cool if you have the carbon or stiff arm. you can lock it at whatever angle you want from the base, then your regular arm slides in like it does on the base.
