I ordered a new set of Vapor Trail Strings for my Z2. Gotta say I was impressed with how well they turned out and how quickly I received them. I’ve used winners choice in the past and thought I’d try something new this set. Excited to see how they hold up.

I never wax my strings and vapor trail strings and cables hold up great zero fraying.

I don't care how good the quality is with strings/cables, you should periodically wax them. I use Winners Choice, but they still get wax every once in a while. It's just a good thing to do.

If there is no fraying what is the point?

I’ve always waxed my strings in the past, might as well keep doing. Better to be on the safe side!

If you replace them on a regular no big deal, I don't shoot as much as I used to and the bow is kept in a climate controlled atmosphere. Zero fray and too much wax is not good either.

Have VT on my Answer and on a couple Hoyt’s in the past. Even if you replace them every year, you should wax. It’s a protective coating and a waterproofing for the strings.
